Michael Lange began his career in the chemical industry with Univar in 1992 as a Sales Representative. He was promoted to Sales Manager in 1998 and then to Branch Manager in the same year. His role expanded in 2001 when he became General Manager of a business that grew to nearly $400 mm annually.
In 2012 Michael accepted the role as Director of Product and Supplier development, a position created to utilize his supplier relationship skills to add new products to the Univar product portfolio. He was promoted to a Senior Director role in 2013, where the portfolio his team managed grew to $1.7 B. In 2014, he became Vice President of Basic Chemicals, overseeing much of the commodity chemical portfolio of $2.7 B. He then led a US wide initiative to improve on-time delivery from 88.5% to 96.5% over a six month period.
After leaving Univar he founded and started a recruiting firm and has held senior leadership roles with SolvChem, Hoover Ferguson, Solugen and Modern Chemical.
