Butyl Acrylate
Butyl Acrylate
Butyl acrylate is a clear colorless liquid with a characteristic fruity odor. It is readily miscible with most organic solvents. It is readily polymerized and displays a wide range of properties dependent upon the selection of the monomer and reaction conditions. N-butyl acrylate is the major base acrylic ester monomer used in the manufacture of copolymers for paint & coatings, adhesives & sealants, printing inks, thermoplastic ethylene-acrylate copolymers, and a myriad of other application areas. BA is a versatile building block for copolymers, contributing excellent weathering and sunlight resistance, low temperature performance, hydrophobicity, and water resistance.
